Looking at the features, we are all happy with its portability & affordability. Weighing less than a pound, the $169 Sonos Roam should be much easier to toss in a bag and take with you. The Sonos Roam features Sonos’s clever Auto TruePlay tuning feature, can be submerged in water and lasts 10 hours on a charge. It can even hand off audio to the nearest Sonos system speaker, through a new tool called Sound Swap.
The speaker is aptly named as it allows users to “roam” at will by automatically switching from personal home Wi-Fi networks to Bluetooth when out of range of said networks. Labeled the “bring it anywhere” speaker, the Sonos Roam is the smallest and the most portable speaker the brand has ever produced.
